What happened
Meitu announced MVLAND 2.0 Studio Mode as an AI music-video workflow. Meitu says the system starts by analyzing a song’s rhythm, mood, genre, and structure, then connects creative development, storyboarding, shot generation, and post-editing in one sequence.
How it works
The company says Studio Mode supports multi-character storytelling and a curated style library. It also says creators can control camera movement, composition, and character actions per shot. A multitrack editor can combine generated footage with original assets, so the output is intended to be revised as a sequence rather than accepted as a collection of isolated clips.
That is a music-first planning model. The track provides a source of timing and mood, the storyboard turns those signals into a plan, and shot-level controls give the creator a place to correct the plan. Meitu presents the workflow as a move from generation toward direction.
Why it matters
Creative AI gets more useful when generation serves a persistent plan, shot-level control, and an editable timeline. The value is not only a better clip; it is a way to keep the relationship between a song, a scene, and a revision visible.
What we don’t know yet
The feature and quality claims come from Meitu. The announcement does not provide independent continuity, quality, or production benchmarks. Studio Mode should not be treated as proof that generated sequences will remain consistent. It also does not show how the workflow performs on long songs or complex edits.
